DRS UK Achieve SC21 Award

DRS Technologies UK Ltd (DRS UK) has received a Bronze Award in the ADS 21st Century Supply Chains (SC21) programme. Operations Manager John Norton was presented with the award during a meeting last week of the SC21 Task Force.
The goal of SC21 is to “accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace and defense industry by raising the performance of its supply chains.” DRS UK is one of only 37 of the more than 600 aerospace and defense industry suppliers in the UK to have achieved the Bronze standard. To earn the accreditation, DRS UK was required to demonstrate 12 consecutive months of delivery performance better than 90% and quality performance better than 98%. Actual performance is currently over 93% for delivery and over 99% for quality. For two of the company’s three biggest programmes, every delivery in 2010 has been on time or early – despite bad weather, volcanic ash clouds and airline strikes.
